Adrie Moerings was a well-known and widely appreciated figure in the Dutch ceramics world. At the age of 24 he started his own pottery-cum-pipe factory in the center of Gouda. He produced all kinds of ceramics in a traditional way, both classic and contemporary. Over the years, he has welcomed thousands of interested people to his studio and has given countless demonstrations.
Adrie Moerings was co-founder and then a board member for several decades of the Gouda Keramiekstad Foundation, the organization behind the Gouda Ceramic Days.
