Bernard Essers (1893-1945) was a Dutch graphic artist who became known for woodcuts and brush drawings in ink. He was also a watercolorist, etcher and illustrator, art and glass painter, and bookbinding designer. His work is strongly reminiscent of both Art Nouveau and to expressionist work. He was taught by Graadt van Roggen, lives and works in Bergen and Schoorl and spends a lot of time with artists from the Bergen School.
