Bert MENCO (Arnhem 1946)
Bert came to the US from the Netherlands in late 1982 and worked for many years as an NIH and NSF funded research professor in the Department of Neurobiology at Northwestern University (Evanston, IL). Recently, 2023, he returned to the Netherlands. In addition to his career in science, he has always been very active in the visual arts, and his works are influenced by his research activities to such an extent that he also applies the discipline often required for research in his art; obtaining the final image is like a research goal.
