Ettore Tito was an artist best known for his paintings of ordinary life and landscapes in and around Venice. For some time he was professor of painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti, where he also studied. In 1926 Ettore Tito was made a member of the Royal Academy of Italy. He spent most of his life in Venice, where he also made his paintings.
Ettore Tito's first major success was in 1887 with his painting Pescheria vecchia a Venezia. His painting Chioggia also became widely known. Many of his paintings are in the possession of museums in different countries.
