Frank Lengvenius (1952)

Frank LENGVENIUS (Brunssum 1952)

Painter

Education:

From 1971 to 1974 Lengvenius was educated at the St. Joost Academy of Visual Arts in Breda.

After graduating from the academy, Frank Lengvenius returned to his native mining area to settle in the place where his love for painting began at an early age. There he held a studio in, among other things, an old dairy factory and a farm. Lengvenius is inspired by city life; houses, bridges and ladders are recurring motifs. Initially, his work mainly consisted of very dark colours; gradually bright, exuberant colors started to play a greater role.
