Graphic company De Luis is a company that was founded in 1960 by three Dutch graphic artists: William Dirk Kuikje, Joop Moesman and Henc van Maarseveen. These artists loved the graphic craft and wanted to be like lice in the fur of modern art. The graphics needed to be more widely distributed and produced, according to De Luis.
A studio was set up in Utrecht, so that other artists could also make their graphics to their heart's content. Many artists joined De Luis, soon there were more than twenty other employees besides the founders. They also received a lot of national attention: a large number of exhibitions and subscribers ensured a lot of fame for graphic company De Luis.
