Jacques BOERSMA (Amsterdam, 1932 - Amsterdam, 1979)
Also used the name Alain Teister. Artist, poet, novelist, playwright and art critic. Education at the National Institute for the Education of Art Teachers (Amsterdam) and the Academy of Visual Arts (Arnhem). Born in Amsterdam, January 12, 1932, died in Amsterdam, February 6, 1979. Grew up in a Catholic Amsterdam environment. In the early 1950s he left for Utrecht and met William (later Dirkje) Kuik, Peter Vos, Jan Emmens and Theo Sontrop, all of whom were also active in both graphic and literary terms. His 'Sevenptych with bed and visitors', an installation with bed, mannequins, chair, wood and paint' (1973-1974) was purchased by the Centraal Museum Utrecht and the Netherlands Institute for Visual Arts.
