Jan-Karel van STEKELENBURG (Tilburg 1944)
Van Stekelenburg worked in Zundert, where he worked with ceramics as well as other materials. During his education at the St. Joost Academy in Breda, he mainly made square animal sculptures. A while later he shifted his interest to spherical shapes, at first rough, later also smooth, and to composite compositions with different basic shapes. He made several trips to Czechoslovakia, Italy, Yugoslavia and America. In addition to plastics, he was also involved with monumental ceramics.
