Josef HARTWIG (Munich 1880 – Frankfurt am Main 1955)
The German sculptor Josef Hartwig worked as a teacher at the Bauhaus from 1921 to 1925. There he supervised the stone and wood department. After the Bauhaus closed, he went to work at the Frankfurter Kunstschule. Later he also worked as a restorer in the sculpture gallery in Frankfurt am Main, where he remained an employee until his death.
