Meinert Volkers (1927 Enschede - 2000 Haaksbergen) was taught by Kees Andrea, J. Stroosma, Louis Meijs and Arnold Smith at the Free Academy in The Hague. He is a painter and draftsman of landscapes, still lifes and figures and sometimes he seeks the boundary between figurative and abstract in his work. He ties in with the painters of the New Hague School. His work has been exhibited in many places in the Netherlands and is also part of the collections of companies, institutions and private individuals.
