Born in Tondano, Indonesia in 1938.
Peter Zondervan works with oil paint, acrylic paint, gouache, ink, conté chalk and also experiments with photography, music, poems and the art of ideas. Sometimes realistic, sometimes abstract, usually both in one. With the subject: calligraphic shapes, landscapes and people.
Zondervan also works on commission and has made portraits and other private commissions, designs for screen prints on linen, various types of posters, electronic music compositions and masks for dance.
Work is in the possession of various private individuals and collectors, the AMC Amsterdam Collection, the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands.
Peter Zondervan has exhibited in Amsterdam, Leeuwarden and other places in the Netherlands, and in Stockholm, Sweden.
Works are signed with 'Peter Zondervan', or 'Zondervan', or 'PAC Zondervan', or 'PZ', or 'Z'. From 1960 to 1970, work is signed with mother's name 'Tumbelaka'.
