Ritzenhoff AG
The German glass manufacturer Ritzenhoff specializes in drinking glasses. The factory grew out of the Fürstenberger Waldglashütte, which had been in existence since the 19th century. This was moved to Niedermarsberg in 1904. Heinrich Ritzenhoff became a shareholder in 1935 and 22 years later the name of the factory was changed to Glaswerk H. und Kl. Ritzenhoff KG, when Heinrich was supported by his son Klaus. In the 1970s, Klaus founded a graphics company, Grafik Ritzenhoff KG. This company made imprints for glassware. Even today, Ritzenhoff is still known as a producer of glassware with special printing and decoration, sometimes made in collaboration with well-known designers. Ritzenhoff now also has several subsidiary companies that focus on part of the collection. Nieuwegein has been a subsidiary of Ritzenhoff since 1998.
