Ted Benoit (1947)

Ted Benoit (1947)

Thierry BENOIT, known as Ted Benoit (born July 25, 1947 in Niort , Deux-Sèvres ) is a French comics artist and prominent representative of the Franco-Belgian ligne claire comics world in the 1980s. This “clear line” style has become particularly well known by artists such as Hergé (Tintin) and Joost Swarte. Some of his works include Bingo Bongo et son Combo Congolais, a series about aspiring writer Bingo B. Bongo and his trials and tribulations, and Ray Banana, a film noir pastiche. Ted Benoît was one of the artists who gave the comic series “Blake and Mortimer” after the death of Edgar P. Jacobs (1987) a new sequel in 1993.
