Born in Ossendrecht in 1949.
Education:
Tilly Wils started her education at the Free Academy in The Hague in 1974.
Wils lives and works in Zoetermeer and also has a studio in France.
After the academy Wils started painting realistic works; yet abstract art soon attracted her. Because she always listens to music in her studio, that music sometimes has a direct influence on her work, from which the color explosions and certain rhythms can be derived. The direct way is also reflected in the way of working; Wils often uses her hands directly on the canvas. Wils also taught at the Free Academy in Zoetermeer from 1993 to 1999.
Exhibitions and prizes:
Tilly Wils' work has been exhibited in the Netherlands, France and Canada, among others.
