The Swiss company Vitra produces high quality design furniture. Vitra was founded in 1950 as a family business and grew into a global company with the help of talented designers. In 1989, the Vitra Design Museum was founded in Weil am Rhein, Germany. The designs are durable and timeless. Many big names have designed for Vitra, including the internationally renowned artist duo Ray and Charles Eames. In addition to their classics, Vitra also supplies new furniture from contemporary designers, often with a stylistic reference to the modern design styles of the 1950s.
