William Henry BARTLETT (Kentish Town (London) 1809 - Malta 1854) He died on his way home from the Middle East to England aboard a ship off the coast of Malta.

William Henry Bartlett was a gifted draftsman and illustrator who traveled extensively to the Balkans, the Middle East, America and Canada, but also to the Netherlands. During these travels he made many drawings that were later published as engravings in books.
