Wladyslaw CHMIELINSKI (Warsaw 1911 - Warsaw 1979)
From 1926 he studied for five years at the Municipal School of Decorative Arts and Painting, after graduating he made easel paintings with oil and watercolors. From 1935 he made a series of watercolors for three years depicting the most valuable Polish architecture. to Sandomierz and Kazimierz Dolny. He also made a series of watercolors depicting the interiors of the Wilanów Palace and the Royal Castle in Warsaw. In 1936 he started using the pseudonym Władysław Stachowicz, but after three years he gave up and returned to signing his paintings with his real name. After 1945 he made almost only oil paintings, from 1958 to 1962 he painted views of Warsaw. In 1962, in the works of Władysław Chmieliński, horse scenes against the background of the landscape appeared, in the years 1967-1969 he stayed in Denmark, after 1969 he returned to immortalizing the images of the capital.
