(Apeldoorn 1900 – Apeldoorn 1943)
For years, Andrée only produced utensils. After 1900, more objects with graceful and slender shapes appeared. Previously, all the pottery was turned from loam, while after 1900 more luxurious clays were used, such as Westerwald clay and white-baked English clay. Since 1920 the company has been owned by Johannes Henricus (Hein) Andrée. Under his supervision, the products became smaller and only decorative pottery was produced. The pottery was characterized by good shapes and thin-walledness. Hein made his own glaze and was fascinated by shapes of Chinese ceramics.
