Felix Meritis

Felix Meritis was a society in Amsterdam that was located in the building of the same name on Keizersgracht. The society was inspired by the Enlightenment, and focused on the promotion of art and science. By means of the cozy environment one could lay the foundation for knowledge, virtue and happiness, and this is what Felix Meritis wanted to achieve.
