The Weaving House Foundation

The Het Weefhuis building in Zaandijk served as a cultural center for fourteen years, from 1960 to 1974, where many artists exhibited. When another exhibition space was opened in Zaandam, the Weefhuis lost its function and the building was used as an office until 2003. Subsequently, the Het Weefhuis Foundation was established. The Weefhuis was reopened as a space for meetings and exhibitions. The aim of the Het Weefhuis Foundation is therefore to preserve the Weefhuis for public use, as a cultural center with a broad understanding of culture.
