When he came into contact with artists such as Dali, Van Gogh, Appel and especially Chagall and Picasso, his life changed forever. They managed to shape all facets of life in their own way. In 1959 his parents moved to Eindhoven, where he decided to follow a graphic training course. After his training in Eindhoven, he worked at various zoos for a number of years. In addition to caring for the animals, he observed and painted them as realistically as possible. Over the years he became increasingly free to work. Since 1980, Albert Niemeyer has devoted himself entirely to being an artist. He mainly creates portraits by creating mixed media assemblages. While creating his work he allows himself to be influenced freely, making a whole range of styles visible in his work. These include: futurism, cubism, abstract art, dadaism, surrealism, avant-garde and pop art. In his work he liberates personalities from the world of music, science and literature from times long past. They were personalities who dared to act outside the boundaries and whose influence is still visible today. The character, the clothing and the time in which the personalities determine the framework and the form. While viewing his art, the viewer rediscovers the different personalities.
