Beschrijving:
Een prachtig modern kunstwerk (abstract portret, linosnede*) van de Nederlandse kunstenaar Anton Vrede (1953). Met een nieuwe (zwarte) aluminium lijst en een nieuw zuurvrij passe-partout.. Gesigneerd rechts onder en gedateerd 1985. Oplage: 12/25. Het werk is te bezichtigen bij Kunsthandel Martins anno 2018 (Drenthe). Het werk wordt geleverd met een echtheidscertificaat.
*Grafische techniek waarbij men een plaat linoleum met scherp handgereedschap zoals messen en gootvormige steekbeitels voorziet van een afbeelding of tekst in reliëf die na het opbrengen van inkt wordt afgedrukt, veelal met een pers.

Anthony (Anton) Vrede (Willemstad (Curaçao), 6 december 1953) is een Nederlands beeldend kunstenaar van Antilliaans-Surinaamse afkomst, die werkt als schilder, graficus, illustrator en beeldhouwer in een expressionistische, figuratieve, soms abstraherende stijl. In het werk van Anton Vrede spelen dierfiguren veelal een hoofdrol, waarbij de verschillende figuren hun eigen betekenis hebben. In zijn schilderijen en grafiek vertrouwt hij met vlotte penseelstreken een naïeve sprookjesachtige wereld aan het doek of papier toe.
