Eric Claus (1936) is één van de weinige Nederlandse beeldhouwers die vernieuwing zoekt binnen de klassieke beeldhouwkunst.
De menselijke figuur vormt een grote inspiratiebron voor hem.
Beelden van hem zijn op verschillende plaatsen in Nederland te bewonderen, onder andere het bekende herinneringsmonument van Willem Drees op het Buitenhof te Den Haag en het beeld "Paardenhoofden" voor het Utrechtse hoofdkantoor van Rabobank Nederland.
