Ernst Moritz Engert: "Three reindeer", screen print after a paper cut, hand print, 28 x 40 cm. Beautiful work by the well-known expressionist bohemian, scissor cutter and shadow player (1892-1986), who in the 1960s - being prevented from working with scissors and paper due to an increasing visual impairment - decided to reproduce his existing silhouettes using the screen printing process in manual prints. Here is one of these sheets, which comes from a partial estate of the artist. There are a few more sheets in my auctions; I also own numerous other motifs. If you are interested, please let us know!
