Franz Eggenschwiler is a Post-War artist. Franz Eggenschwiler is a Swiss male artist born in Solothurn (CH) in 1930.

Franz Eggenschwiler's first exhibition was Graphik International at Galerie next St. Stephan - Rosemarie Schwarzwälder in Vienna in 1967, and the most recent exhibition was Postcard reloaded at Kunstraum Potsdam in Potsdam in 2019. Franz Eggenschwiler is mostly exhibited in Switzerland, but also had exhibitions in Germany, Australia and elsewhere. Eggenschwiler has two solo shows and 69 group shows over the last 52 years (for more information, see biography). Eggenschwiler has also been in no art fairs but in 3 biennials. The most important show was 36th Biennial di Venezia at La Biennale di Venezia in Venice in 1972. Other important shows were at Documenta in Kassel and Kunstmuseum Bern in Bern. Franz Eggenschwiler has been exhibited with Dieter Roth and André Thomkins. Franz Eggenschwiler's art is in 6 museum collections, at Kunstmuseum Basel in Basel and Städtisches Museum Abteiberg in Mönchengladbach among others.
