A TOP acquisition for serious collectors and connoisseurs. Bengt Johan Gösta Nyrén (Swedish: Bengt Johan Gösta Nyrén) (31 July 1903 - 15 October 1973) was a Swedish painter. Born 1903 in Tofterið, Småland, died 1973. Nyren first trained as a drawing teacher in Stockholm and then continued his studies from 1927 to 1930 at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts. He works as a drawing teacher in Husqvarna. Nyren is the youngest member of the artistic group "Nio unga", from which Sven Eriksson, "The X", became best known. The naive style of the "Nine Youths" also characterizes many of Gjosta Nyren's later paintings. Gjosta Nyren placed, among other things, a mural in Krutuset in Huskvarna. This painting shows the history of Huskvarna from the Stone Age to the present. Education: Graduate School of Art and Design and the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm. He painted landscapes, mostly with motifs from Italy, Madeira and Portugal, but also flower still lifes. His works are influenced by modern French art, often with exotic elements.
