Ca. 30 x 28 x 25 cm., ongeveer 15 kilo zwaar, afgebeeld in het boek Kees Verkade Beeldhouwer (p. 26).
Er zijn van dit werk slechts twee exemplaren bekend.

Gemonogrameerd en gedateerd.
Kees Verkade en Willem Steijn deelden eind jaren '60/begin jaren '70 een atelier in Bentveld, dit verklaart (mede) de oorsprong van dit portret). Het werk is destijds gekocht door een Nederlandse diplomaat en meegenomen naar de Verenigde Staten. Recent is dit exemplaar opgedoken (omgeving Washington) en terug naar Nederland gehaald en derhalve sedert de vervaardiging niet op de Nederlandse markt geweest.
