Words such as transparent, refined, tissues, connection, transformation and transience find their place within my work My work consists of work on canvas, and 3 dimensional work, video and sound. On canvas I use tree bark, plant remains and paper fibers, combined with pigments and acrylic gels. Transparent tissues and line structures, vulnerability and transience are recognizable elements in my work. For several years now I have been working with cinematographer Paul Walboom on animation and stop motion films, including soundtracks, about the town of Sloebertown. We see the comings and goings of the inhabitants, most of whom were made and recycled in a factory.
