Mooie gedetailleerde gravure van Pieter Schenk de Oudere (1660-1711) of de Jongere (1693-1775).
De tekening is van Sieuwert van der Meulen (1663-1730), gesigneerd SvM in de plaat linksonder. De gravure (plaat 15.) is afkomstig uit "De bouw en lotgevallen van een schip". Rijksmuseum / Rijksprentenkabinet referentie RP-P-OB-6672.
De gravure heeft zeer smalle marges en is daarom in een passepartout op maar gezet en ingelijst.
In de plaat zijn er drie oudtijdse inktvlekken, waarschijnlijk vanuit het oorspronkelijke drukproces.
