Prachtig en vrij zeldzaam werk door Thomas Heesakkers. Het schilderij is in goede staat met
enkele ouderdomssporen, zie foto's deze zijn onderdeel van de beschrijving. De
lijst is iets te ruim en heeft enige aandacht nodig. Portretten door Heesakkers zijn erg schaars en worden niet vaak aangeboden
Thomas Heesakkers schildert in de romantische stijl en zijn werken volgen
nauwkeurig de traditionele Hollandse School met haar grote diepte, intensiteit
en rijk kleurpalet. Zijn werken laten ook een sfeer van rust en monumentaliteit
zien. De kunstenaar en mens zijn één geworden: nooit opdringerig, maar wel
emotioneel.
Zijn schilderijen vinden gretig aftrek en vinden hun weg naar menig
privécollectie over de gehele wereld. Thomas exposeerde reeds in Frankfurt,
Düsseldorf, Eindhoven, Venlo en meermaals in Engeland.
