Wim Rijvers - Bronzen beeld: Vogeltje in het riet (oplage : 1) - 1979 (+ boek) - Sold

Rijvers received his training as a sculptor at the Jan van Eyck Academy in Maastricht. Although his early work was made of materials such as aluminum, later he worked only with bronze. Many of his sculptures can be seen in public spaces in North Brabant and Limburg. In Baarlo, Blerick, Kessel, Meijel and Sint Anhonis, monuments by him can be found in memory of the Second World War.

In 1987 the book "Wim Rijvers: Sculptor" was published, written by Lei Alberigs and Harrie Tillie with the cooperation of Rijvers himself. The book contains an overview of Rijvers' work from the period 1980 to 1987.

Rijvers passed away on February 3, 2010 at the age of 82
