Symbolisch sculptuur van een mens in gedachten bovenop een trap. Denken op hoog niveau; het symbool voor het creatief oplossen van problemen. De denkende mens wordt vaak vergeleken met het beroemde beeld van de Franse beeldhouwer Auguste Rodin uit 1881. Er bestaan verschillende afgietsels van dit werk.
