Ernst Moritz Engert: "Perfect Marriage", screen print after a silhouette from 1930, hand print, numbered (somewhat foxed, one corner slightly damaged), 30.5 x 43 cm. Beautiful work by the well-known expressionist bohemian, scissor cutter and shadow player (1892-1986), who in the 1960s - being prevented from working with scissors and paper due to an increasing visual impairment - decided to reproduce his existing silhouettes using the screen printing process in manual prints. Here is one of these sheets, which comes from a partial estate of the artist. There are a few more sheets in my auctions; I also own numerous other motifs.
