15 color lithographs from the limited “Chevaux” box from 1966, an anthology in French from classics of world literature (including Dickens, Flaubert, Goethe, Renard, Tolstoy) with passages in which the horse figures. The renowned Swiss artist Hans Erni made the lithographs.
Edition of 450 copies, printed by Emil Matthieu in Zurich on 200 grs Rives handmade paper. Contents: 26 printed sheets, folded to 21 x 24 cm, 1 colophon 21 x 24 cm. and an embossed attachment of a stylized horse's head.
The work is signed in the colophon by the author and the artist.
Size of prints: 9 by 15.5 by 15.5 cm. and 6 of 15.5 x 31 cm.
The text in French and the Roman numbering and page numbers on the front and back leave enough leeway for a neat framing if required.
Note: the lot is incomplete. Some of the original lithographs have disappeared from the box, including pieces of text. This can be a disadvantage for bidders who value complete literature fragments.
