Schilderij van Hélène de Baat. Voorstelling: bloemstilleven (vaas met zwarte tulpen?). Impressie in vervreemdend perspectief. Datering: omstreeks 1937 - 1950. Techniek: Olieverf op linnen. Gesigneerd: ‘HBAAT’ (rechts onder). Afmeting: 70 cm x 40 cm (doek), 74 cm x 44 cm (lijst). Conditie: in goede staat in overeenstemming met de ouderdom; eenvoudig ingelijst in een sobere vurenhouten lattenlijst.
Helena Hendrika (Hélène) de Baat (Roden 1909 – Nijmegen 2005). Opleiding: Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten Den Haag (ca 1935), in Utrecht privé lessen van Johannes Gabriëlsen en Otto van Rees (ca 1937). Lid van de Kunstenaarsvereniging ‘De Onafhankelijken’ en erelid van van de Gemeenschap Beeldende Kunstenaars Nijmegen.
