Opleiding:
Boonacker is autodidact.
Woont en werkt in Amsterdam. Ook heeft Boonacker een atelier in het Mexicaanse Acapulco.
Boonacker staat bekend om zijn felgekleurde landschappen. Hij wordt hiertoe geïnspireerd door de vele reizen die hij heeft gemaakt en nog steeds maakt, naar onder meer zijn favoriete bestemmingen in Spanje, Italië en Brazilië. Tegelijkertijd is elk werk gebaseerd op de Nederlandse traditionele landschappen en stillevens. Als Boonacker een bepaalde omgeving wilt vastleggen, maakt hij er eerst een aquarel van, die dan later kan dienen ter herinnering wanneer hij aan een schildering begint. Het enorm warme gevoel dat de tropische stranden, eilanden en zonsondergangen in zijn werk uitstralen, hangt samen met Boonackers positieve kijk op het leven.
