Groot, pasteus werk van Piet van den Bergh. Olieverf op doek, rechtsonder gesigneerd, gesitueerd (Oldenbroek) en gedateerd, in houten lijst. Alles in zeer goede conditie, maar lijst is niet heel bijzonder.
In verso staat met potlood geschreven “Hollandse artillerie met Talpa op”, waarschijnlijk niet door Van den Bergh zelf. De talpa werd namelijk pas in 1895 ingevoerd. Waarschijnlijker dragen de infanteristen in het schilderij zogenaamde sjako’s of shako’s, om meer precies te zijn een variant van de M1865.

Bij aankoop moet het werk liefst opgehaald worden in Diemen (vlakbij het kantoor van Kunstveiling in Amsterdam Z-O). De termijn voor ophalen is zeer ruim, m.a.w. de koper kan het werk eventueel weken of zelfs maanden later ophalen en het zo mogelijk combineren met een bezoek aan Amsterdam voor andere zaken.
Bezorgen met Swift Koeriers is eventueel mogelijk in overleg.
